I cannot say strongly enough how appreciative I am of the help from ‘Cindy and Leslie’ in selling my condo.  They are professional, tactful and attentive to the smallest details.  In this uneven market when I as a seller had little to guide me in developing a realistic expectation of the value of my condo, they were knowledgeable not just about comparables, but also about who my condo would appeal to and what would attract them. 

When I met with Leslie the first time, Cindy was out of town, I already had a new home and was preparing to move my furniture out. Leslie showed me several condos my size on the market, so that I could see my competition.  We then went through my condo and she made recommendations about what I should change to make it attractive to a likely buyer.  All were reasonable and cost effective.  I had no time to shop so Leslie and Cindy did everything: helped me line up a contractor to paint my condo; shopped for lighting and emailed me suggestions for approval; picked up the lighting; and oversaw the installation.  As the condo was empty, they suggested staging it, which they then did for me.  Not only did they hold open houses, Leslie and Cindy made certain that the realtor on duty at the open house knew the community and could answer questions about the condo and our community intelligently. This was important to me because when I was looking for homes I attended many open houses and have eliminated several properties because the agent “hosting” the open house knew nothing about the property or community.  In addition, they provided feedback and context for the feedback after every open house. 

My condo sold in six weeks for list price and there were no last minute problems at closing. I am convinced it is because of their thoughtful, comprehensive approach and professionalism.

Testimonial To Two Results-Oriented Realtors

While we fully realized that we were not Cindy and Leslie’s only customer during the period we worked with them, they certainly made us feel like the only ones in the world that Weichert was assisting at the time.

We first happened upon Leslie at an open house when we were in the very beginning stages of considering a change. We were running out of room in our townhome and needed more space. We had a good feeling in our gut just based on that initial meeting at the open house – Leslie had good “curb appeal” – so we invited her over for a “look-see.” She also brought Cindy along for a second opinion.

The first visit was brutally honest, but ultimately, right on target. We had put a lot of time, effort, and money into personalizing our home, but Leslie and Cindy delicately suggested we re-paint certain areas and move our personal touches out of view if we wanted to increase our chances of selling. With heavy hearts we trusted them and forged ahead. We did all that they recommended and couldn’t have been happier with the results. We had three offers after our first open house and had a signed contract on our current home within a week!

The “easy part” was over and then began the “hard part” -- working with a realtor for the house we wanted to buy -- a realtor whose lack of professionalism couldn’t have been more of a contrast to that of Cindy and Leslie’s.

Cindy and Leslie did things for us that we had never experienced in all our house-buying and selling years! They were always available for us regardless of the hour. The time on some of the emails and texts we received left us wondering when they ever slept. They went above and beyond in each and every way even to the point of trudging through the mud and muck of our front-yard-to-be when the septic system was being replaced.

And they stuck with us through thick and thin, through several agonizing back and forths. Leslie and Cindy didn’t always tell us what we wanted to hear, but, more importantly, they always told us what we needed to hear. They even did something extraordinary for us that we won’t specify because it might become an expectation for all their future clients (!). Let’s just say it brought tears to our eyes and sealed the deal with the sellers. Leslie and Cindy’s “never say never” attitude got us to closing on the one and only house that we ever seriously considered during the whole process.

You can bet if we ever decide to sell this house and buy another – which, because we love this new home so very much, we can’t imagine ever doing – we will immediately return to Cindy and Leslie. They weren’t THAT good … they were the best!

I started talking to her about my long-term goals, i.e., to sell my house and purchase a condo in order to downsize and lower my living expenses as I approached retirement. When I was considering selling my Virginia home during the spring of 2010 in order to move to the west coast, I spoke with Leslie Rodriguez because she was a neighbor of mine and I knew she had sold other homes in my area. Both Leslie and Cindy Baggett then met with me and explained the current housing market, including the effect of the federal tax credit for first-time home buyers that would expire on April 30.

 

After looking at the renovations I had done to my home and further assessing the market, they suggested I put my house up for sale immediately to take advantage of the shiny condition of the home and the tax credit, rather than waiting until the fall as I had planned. Following their advice worked out well for me. They staged the home beautifully and presented an appealing open house which included extensive advertising. "I first met Cindy and Leslie at some open houses around the area. I liked their upbeat attitudes and knowledge of the Northern Virginia area realty market. I was trying to sell my current home in Alexandria for 3 months after returning from a deployment and my current realtor didn’t do anything except take some home pictures and list it on some websites. She didn’t print out any brochures, just Xeroxed the listing in black and white and left it on the counter. She only held one open house and it was only after I told her I wanted one. There were barely any buyers coming through the property and I was not happy with my realtor’s efforts to market the house. I invited Cindy and Leslie over to walk through my house and give me suggestions on how it would be more appealing to buyers.

Cindy and Leslie made some suggestions on painting, flooring, updated hardware, and light fixtures. I took all of their suggestions and fixed up the house over two weeks. During this time period, I was in constant contact with Cindy and Leslie. They followed up with every realtor that showed the house and gave me feedback. The house sold within a month. I could not have sold my house without the professional advice and hard work of Cindy and Leslie.

I also used Cindy and Leslie’s services to buy my beautiful new home. They provided market comparisons of the properties I was interested in and expert advice on the homes in the area. After the contract was signed, they ensured all the paperwork was in order for the closing. It was a relatively painless process with Cindy and Leslie at the helm. "Leslie and Cindy have been my 'go to' gals for a number of years. I met them in 2004 and my intent at the time was to move from my condo to a town house. My bank has a program where if I use the real estate agent they recommend, then I get a discount on the sale. I had used this option when I bought my Condo, however I soon found out that the agent was rather dismissive of me because I was not a 'high end' buyer. Seems this is not uncommon for the NOVA area. So I decided to do some looking on my own and in doing so I stumbled upon Cindy and Leslie as I was poking through some open houses in the Lorton area. After a short discussion, I knew they were the ones I wanted to help me with my moves.

 

They are not sickenly sweet or over eager as some agents can be, and neither are they dismissive or abrasive. They are PRACTICAL. They listen, and are very smart when it comes to investing and selling property.

 

I was selling and buying during the heady, crazy days of the 2004 real estate insanity. I got an insane price on my sale thanks to them, and they were able to finagle me into a stealer deal on the buy. I knew the area I wanted to move to, so when a property came open on a Friday we immediately went in. By Monday the previous owner had seven offers on the table (one of which was mine). I didn’t have the highest offer by 10s of thousands. But Cindy and Leslie told me, 'We need you to write a letter to the owner explaining why you love this property'. I thought they were insane but they were right. The owner loved my letter and decided to sell the house to me. I do love the house! It is perfect! But it was Leslie and Cindy that got me that house because they understood what sellers want to see and hear. They know what it takes to make a good sale and a good buy. If you listen to their practical, sensible advice once you have settled on what you want, then you can’t go wrong.

 

So if you need someone who really, and I mean 'really' knows the Lorton, West Springfield area they are them. I can unequivocally say that I would not ever use any other agents. (No matter how much money my bank offers to use their 'agents'.) I recommend them to all my friends and any who will listen. They are hard workers and they don’t take anything for granted, especially you and your needs."
